IT Security Engineer

Shape secure digital products and anchor security by design in architecture, cloud and delivery.

Why this role matters

Our clients work with sensitive data: account data, health data, citizen data. That is why security is not an audit at the end for us but part of every architecture decision, every pipeline and every release. As an IT security engineer you are where security is created – in the middle of the projects, together with engineering, cloud, testing and release.

Your mission

You make security a natural part of good digital products. You combine technical depth with pragmatic advice, reduce risks early and make sure teams can deliver quickly and safely.

What you will do

  • Secure architectures: design and review security architectures for applications, APIs, platforms and cloud environments
  • Assess risks: carry out assessments, threat modelling and risk analyses and translate them into actionable measures
  • Govern identities: develop IAM concepts, role models and access controls in Azure, Google Cloud and AWS
  • Manage vulnerabilities: build up vulnerability management, prioritise scans and findings and follow remediation through
  • Bring security into the pipeline: anchor SAST, DAST, dependency and secret scanning in CI/CD
  • Be ready for incidents: help shape incident management processes and playbooks and support when it matters
  • Anchor security by design: bring security requirements into requirements, engineering and releases
  • Share knowledge: advise and train teams and clients and raise awareness of secure development

Your profile

Must have

  • Several years of experience in IT security, security engineering or secure cloud architecture
  • Solid hands-on knowledge of web and API security (for example OWASP Top 10), IAM and network security
  • Experience with at least one major cloud platform and its security services
  • An understanding of software development and DevSecOps practices
  • A structured way of working and enjoyment of passing knowledge on
  • Very good German and good English

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, CCSP or cloud security certifications from Microsoft, Google or AWS
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as the revised Swiss FADP, FINMA circulars or ISO 27001
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR or penetration testing

How we work

Hybrid across Switzerland, with our office in Meggen near Lucerne. Remote where it fits, at the client where it helps the collaboration. 80–100 %, starting by agreement.
