Requirements & Test Engineer / Test Manager

Why this role matters
Quality is not created in the last test cycle but with the first cleanly worded requirement. That is why we combine requirements engineering and test management in one role. Testing, quality & release is a focus area at gridz – you make sure that what gets built is exactly what is needed, and that it works reliably before it goes live.
Your mission
You translate business goals into clear, testable requirements and make digital products dependable. You connect stakeholders, engineering and delivery and make quality transparent for everyone involved.
What you will do
- Elicit requirements: run workshops and interviews, structure requirements and document them traceably – as user stories with clear acceptance criteria
- Own the test strategy: define test strategies and test concepts, aligned with risk, architecture and release planning
- Design tests: derive test cases and test data, ensure traceability between requirement and test
- Steer testing: plan, coordinate and run system, integration, regression and acceptance tests
- Drive automation: build up test automation together with engineering and integrate it into CI/CD pipelines
- Support acceptance: organise UAT with the business departments and prepare go/no-go decisions with solid facts
- Make quality visible: manage defects, evaluate test results and communicate them in clear reports
- Improve processes: keep developing quality assurance, including with AI-supported test tooling
Your profile
Must have
- Several years of experience in requirements engineering, software testing or test management
- Confident in test methodology, test design and risk-based testing
- Experience in agile projects, in particular Scrum, and with tools such as Jira, Xray or comparable
- Analytical thinking, a structured way of working and a strong sense of quality
- Clear communication with business departments and developers alike
- Very good German and good English
Nice to have
- Certifications such as ISTQB (Advanced Test Manager) or IREB CPRE
- Experience with test automation (for example Playwright, Selenium, Postman) and API tests
- Industry experience in banking, insurance, healthcare or the public sector

How we work
Hybrid across Switzerland, with our office in Meggen near Lucerne. Remote where it fits, at the client where it helps the collaboration. 80–100 %, starting by agreement.
