Open roles
Consulting, AI, security, quality and release: at gridz you take responsibility for solutions that matter to Swiss companies. Your voice carries weight and the path to a decision is short. Hybrid across Switzerland.

Release Manager
Make sure digital solutions go live reliably: you steer releases, deployments and cutovers – predictable, traceable and without nasty surprises.
Why this role matters
In large IT landscapes a project’s success is decided at go-live: dozens of systems, several suppliers, regulatory requirements and a fixed maintenance window. For gridz, release management is not a side topic but a central part of what we offer. As a release manager you are the person who keeps the overview, resolves dependencies and brings about decisions – so releases become routine instead of risk.
Your mission
You give releases structure, transparency and calm. From planning through change approval to cutover you coordinate teams, suppliers and dependencies and make sure every decision is taken at the right time on the basis of the right facts.
What you will do
- Plan releases: plan and maintain release calendars, release trains and maintenance windows across several systems and teams
- Steer change & release governance: assess changes, run approval processes and prepare and chair the change advisory board (CAB)
- Coordinate deployments: create deployment plans, align environments and dependencies and accompany deployments from test to production
- Own the cutover: work out cutover and rollback plans, run dress rehearsals and steer go-live nights with a steady hand
- Involve suppliers: synchronise releases with external software suppliers, operations partners and internal teams
- Manage risks: prepare go/no-go decisions with quality and test results, surface risks early and escalate them
- Develop processes: shape release and deployment processes along ITIL and modernise them with CI/CD and automation
- Institutionalise learning: run post-release reviews and feed the findings consistently into the next release
Your profile
Must have
- Several years of experience in release, deployment or change management in complex IT landscapes
- Solid ITIL knowledge, in particular change enablement as well as release and deployment management
- Experience with CAB processes, release trains and cutover planning
- Routine in coordinating suppliers, operations partners and several delivery teams
- Technical understanding of software development, CI/CD and both cloud and on-premises environments
- Calm under pressure, clear communication and the ability to hold your ground
- Very good German and good English
Nice to have
- ITIL 4 certification, SAFe (for example RTE) or comparable certifications
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira Service Management or Azure DevOps
- Industry experience in banking, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications or the public sector
What you can expect
- Your voice counts – we make decisions together and close to the work
- A direct line instead of hierarchy – when it comes to go or no-go, your word counts
- Real responsibility from day one – you lead releases instead of just managing dates
- You shape how we work – you substantially develop our release management offering further
- Modern stacks & AI in daily work – from CI/CD to AI-supported release analysis
- Training & certifications – we invest deliberately in your know-how
- Demanding projects in banking, insurance, healthcare, telecommunications and the public sector
How we work
Hybrid across Switzerland, with our office in Meggen near Lucerne. Planning and coordination remote where it fits – on site for important go-lives and CAB meetings. Occasional work in maintenance windows outside office hours is part of the role. 80–100 %, starting by agreement.
